Riley LaBoe

Riley LaBoe enters her second season as a Graduate Assistant on the Wheeling University Softball team under Head Coach Sara Pelegreen. LaBoe has been heavily involved with the team over the last four seasons as a student manager and looks to continue that in her graduate assistant stint.

In her first season as a coach in 2023, LaBoe worked primarily with the Cardinal's hitters and they produced a .266 batting average as a team. Under her watch, junior Maddie Munoz had a breakout year begind the plate, hitting .394 with a Mountain East Conference (MEC) leading eight triples. As a team, the Cardinals had two players hit over the .300 mark and saw Munoz win the first All-MEC honor of her career.

LaBoe spent four seasons as a member of the team, playing during her freshman and sophomore seasons, appearing in 10 games. She stayed on as a student-manager during her junior and senior seasons and has been instrumental in helping the rebuilding of the Wheeling Softball program.

LaBoe is currently pursuing a Master's Degree at Wheeling University.
