Lauren Maichle

Lauren Maichle enters her third season as an assistant softball coach on Caressa DeRossett's staff during the 2023 season, and her first full season as a Graduate Assistant in the Sports Information Office.

In 2022, Maichle continued to assist in the rebuilding of the Cardinals program and saw them to a four win improvement, going 14-33 overall record and a 6-25 record in conference play. Maichle worked primarily with the outfielders throughout the year, and helped Autumn Oehlstrom earn All-MEC First Team honors while hitting .393 during the year.

Maichle helped the team to a 10-32 overall record last season, as well as a 9-23 record in Mountain East Conference play. She worked primarily with the outfielders as she helped a team that consisted of mostly of freshman and sophomores that were getting their feet wet at the college level.

Maichel played her collegiate ball at NCAA Division III Bethany, where she played four seasons as an outfielder for the Bison. Maichle compiled a .197 batting average in her four seasons with five RBI over 89 games played in the green and white. She was highly regarded on the defensive side of the ball, holding a career .921 fielding percentage over her four seasons.
