Courtney Rogers enters her third season with the Wheeling Softball team and second as a Graduate Assistant for the 2026 season. 

During the 2025 season, Rogers worked closely with the infielders and catchers as well as drew up defensive strategies for the team. She helped the team clinch their first MEC Tournament playoff berth since the 2018 season. Under Rogers, sophomore first basemen Madison Kay finished with the second highest batting average on the team with a .341 and a .455 slugging percentage. She also coached junior second basemen Keke Warrix, who ended the season leading the team with 18 stolen bases.

Rogers is an alumna of the program, having played from 2016-2019 for the red and black. During that time, she had a batting average of .273, accumulated 121 hits, 30 runs, 18 home runs, 93 RBIs in 163 games played. Additionally, she was named to the All-MEC Second Team in 2019. Rogers played alongside current head coach Mallory Chapman and assistant coach Cassie Minder, who were all important pieces to the Cardinals' championship run in 2018.
