Gerardo Lopez is entering his second season as a Graduate Assistant on Brandon Regan's staff for the 2024 season. He works primarily with the team's midfield and defense, preparing them for each game.
During the 2023 season, Lopez assisted in the areas of midfield and defense, as well as game set up and Men's Soccer operations. He assisted Regan in day-to-day office activities as well as preparing practice plans for the week's opponents. On gamedays, Lopez would assist in field set-up and tear down, ensuring everything was ready for kick-off.
Prior to joining the staff as a Graduate Assistant, Lopez played four seasons in a Cardinal uniform, appearing in 11 games, making one start. During his career, Lopez finished with one goal and two assists, scoring his first career goal against Alderson Broaddus on senior day.
Lopez graduated from Wheeling University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration.
