Zach Hoge is entering his second year as Graduate Assistant for the Wheeling Men's Rugby team after helping the Cardinals win another National Championship.
The team most certainly scored lots of tries and points, but they also prevented their opponents from scoring too, and that was part of Hoge's role with the team. He primarily worked on the defensive side of the ball for the 2024-25 season, ensuring the players could defend just as well as they could score. During the Fall 15's season, The Cardinals held opponents below 30 points in five of their nine games and only nine teams scored more than 10 points in their 24 games played during the Spring 7's season.
