Coach Joey Subasic joins the WJU staff after 7 seasons as the head coach at Wheeling Park High School. Subasic works closely with the face-off units and also oversees the team’s strength and conditioning program. He has been integral in helping grow the game of lacrosse in the state of West Virginia and was a founding member of the West Virginia Scholastic Lacrosse Association, serving as a board member and vice president. Coach Subasic is a graduate of Wheeling Park High School (’03), Bethany College (’08), and recently completed his Masters in Educational Leadership here at Wheeling Jesuit University (’14). Subasic has lived in the Ohio Valley his entire life and has been a big a part of the growth of lacrosse in West Virginia. In addition to coaching at WJU, Subasic is a Special Educator at Elm Grove Elementary school specializing in multi-categorical special education including Autism.
