Gage Bradshaw

Gage Bradshaw enters his sixth season with the Wheeling Men's Lacrosse team and fifth season as Head Coach at Wheeling University during the 2026 season.

2025 was a big year for Wheeling Men's Lacrosse. The team finished 8-7 overall and had a 6-3 conference record in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC). With Bradshaw at the helm, the Cardinals were able to clinch their first home playoff game since the 2011 season, locking up the #4 spot in the GMAC Tournament. They faced off against #5 Davenport at Bishop Schmitt Field in the quarterfinals and came out the victors 12-9, advancing to the semifinals for the first time since 2018. The journey would end to #1 Seton Hill in following round, but it was another positive step for the Cardinals. Three Cardinals received All-GMAC honors, attackmen Brenner Chase was named to the First Team and defensemen Owen Worley and midfielder Mitchell Park were named to the Second Team. Chase led the team with 22 assists and 51 points and was second with 29 goals. Chase put up five or more points in four separate games and finished within the top 10 in conference goals, goals, per game, assists, and points.

The 2024 season was a revival year for the team as they made the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) tournament for the first time since 2018. The team finished 7-8 overall and 4-4 in conference play as they finished as the #5 seed in the GMAC. They would play in their first playoff game since 2018, taking Walsh to overtime before falling by the final score of 11-10. Under Brashaw's watch, Mike Andersson and Austin Hall each earned Second Team All-GMAC honors, and Andersson became the program's all-time leading scorer with 161 career goals over his four seasons in a Cardinal uniform.

The 2023 season was another step forward for the Men's Lacrosse program, as they finished with the most wins in a season since 2018, going 5-10 overall and 3-4 in conference play. The Cardinals were in the race for the GMAC playoffs up until the final game of the regular season and he helped coach Mike Andersson to a First Team All-GMAC honor. Under his watch, Andersson broke the single-season goal record and teammate Ty Taylor would take the single-season points record.

In 2022, Bradshaw stepped in as interim Head Coach and led the Cardinals to their best season since the 2018 campaign, when they last made the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) tournament. Under Bradshaw's leadership, the Cardinals went 4-9 overall and 2-4 in GMAC play. They put together the most wins since the 2018 campaign and were just two games away from making their first GMAC playoff appearance since the 2018 season.

Bradshaw helped coach defender Mat Anderson and Attacker Mike Andersson to All-GMAC honors, while helping Anderson win a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Third Team All-North Region honor following the 2022 season.

Prior to 2022, Bradshaw assisted with the Cardinals defensive strategy as a Graduate Assistant during the 2021 season, working with the team's goalkeepers and defenseman and also helped in all facets of recruiting.

Prior to Wheeling, Bradshaw coached at Dallas Jesuit under legendary high school Head Coach Chris Surran. Dallas Jesuit, which is routinely one of the top programs in the country, was named the No. 1 team in the USA Southeast Region by Inside Lacrosse ahead of the 2020 season. In addition to Dallas Jesuit, Bradshaw also coached with Iron Horse Lacrosse - Dallas.

The Plano, Texas native played two seasons (2016-17) at Rutgers University, before closing out his career at Jacksonville University (2018-19).

During his time in college Bradshaw played alongside multiple Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) players including Jules Heningburg, Michael Rexrode, and Ryan Beville.
