Nathan Hendel is in his third year with the Cardinals men's basketball program. The Findlay, Ohio native first arrived in Wheeling in the Fall of 2019 with current Wisconsin-Green Bay coach Will Ryan, and stayed on when current head coach Chris Richardson was hired in the summer of 2020. Hendel assists in all aspects of the Wheeling program, but his primary responsibilities include recruiting, internal operations, video, opponent scouting, academic monitoring, and on-court coaching.
In the summer of 2021, Hendel assisted The Basketball Tournament (TBT) with regional tournament operations in Charleston, W.Va. and Peoria, Ill. He also served as a camp instructor for The Hoop Group.
Prior to joining the Wheeling staff, Hendel spent two seasons as a student manager at Ohio University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management in the spring of 2019. Hendel completed his Master's in Business Administration from Wheeling University in the spring of 2021.
