Landon Travis enters his second season as a Graduate Assistant on Chris Richardson's staff during the 2022-23 season.
Travis helped in all aspects of the Men's Basketball team last season as they made their second consecutive MEC Tournament run. He assisted an offense that averaged 75.9 pointd per game last season and helped Jordan Reid and Jarett Haines each earn All-MEC Second team honors.
A native of Williamstown, W.Va., Travis was a standout at Williamstown High School for coach Scott Sauro. He finished his career with the Yellow Jackets as a 1,000-point scorer, a 2016 first-team All-State selection, and the Little Kanawha Conference Player of the Year. Travis also participated in the annual WV North-South All-Star Basketball Classic. He was also a standout baseball player at WHS. Travis then went on to West Virginia University, where he joined the men's basketball program as a student manager from 2017-20. He graduated from WVU in the spring of 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology.
Coach Travis's primary responsibilities will include recruiting, external operations, opponent scouting, on-court coaching, and academic monitoring. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from Wheeling University.
