Jared Chambliss enters his fourth season with the Cardinals in 2025-26, his second as the full-time assistant coach.
Chambliss assists in all aspects of the Cardinals program including on-court coaching, recruiting, player development, scouting, daily operations and academic monitoring. Chambliss also coordinates the team’s strength and conditioning program.
Over his first three seasons in Wheeling, Coach Chambliss has helped the Cardinals to three consecutive MEC tournament appearances, and big wins over ranked opponents West Liberty, Charleston and Cal (Pa.) U.
Prior to coming to WU, Chambliss worked for the Hoop Group, assisting in player development, event management, marketing, and business operations. He has also served as a site coordinator for The Basketball Tournament (TBT), an annual winner-take-all event for professional players every summer.
He played collegiate basketball at both Millersville and Arcadia University. As a two-year starter at Arcadia, he helped lead the team to the conference semifinals in 2020. Jared earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Arcadia and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Wheeling University.
A native of Milford, New Jersey, Jared graduated Immaculata High School as the school’s All Time Leading Scorer ending his career with 1523 points and the only player in the school’s history to reach 1000 points as a junior. He was a four-year starter and three-year captain. Chosen 3 times as the team’s MVP.
