Jared Chambliss

Jared Chambliss enters his third season on Head Coach Chris Richardson's Coaching Staff, and his first season as a full Assistant Coach in 2024-2025.

Chambliss completed his second season as a Graduate Assistant and once again helped the Cardinals to the MEC Tournament. Chambliss works hand-in-hand with Head Coach Chris Richardson on game strategy and other decisions that directly influence the team's performance. He helped the Cardinals to a four-win improvement over the 2023-2024 season, going 10-18 overall and making the #9 seed in the 2024 MEC Tournament.

During the 2022-23 season, Chambliss helped lead the Wheeling Men's Basketball team to their third straight MEC Tournament appearance. He worked primarily with the team's forwards and helped John Korte take home the first All-MEC honors of his career.

He played collegiate basketball at both Millersville and Arcadia University. As a two-year starter at Arcadia, he helped lead the team to the conference semi finals in 2020.  Jared earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Arcadia and graduated Magna Cum Laude.  He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration from Wheeling University.

A native of Milford, New Jersey, Jared graduated Immaculata High School as the school’s All Time Leading Scorer ending his career with 1523 points and the only player in the school’s history to reach 1000 points as a junior.  He was a four-year starter and three-year captain.  Chosen 3 times as the team’s MVP.
