Roger has been a part of the Cardinal Baseball Coaching Staff since the Spring of 2019, and enters his seventh season with the Cardinals in 2025. Roger is no stranger to the game, as he has coached, played and been a part of the game for over the last 40+ years. 

Lewicki serves as Head Coach Ryan Lewicki's Bench coach and primary first base coach, and continued that role during the 2024 season. His base runners were successful throughout the season, with an 87.9% success rate (73 steals in 84 attempts). In the field, the Cardinals played strong defense througout the year, putting together  .965 fielding percentage and having 25 players with a .900 fielding percentage or better. e helped coach outfielders Aidan Willard and Scott Kondroik to All-MEC awards this past season as the team once again made the MEC Tournament.

Lewicki was once again the Cardinal's primary first base coach during the 2023 season, while working with both the bench players and the infield defense. The Cardinals once again had a strong season on the base paths, with a successful stolen base percentage of 78.6% (59-75). He also helped the Cardinals in the field, with three of the four starting infielders having a Fielding Percentage of .900 or better. It was the second time in Lewicki's career that the Cardinals have made the MEC Tournament, and he oversaw the team's first MEC Tournament win in program history.

In 2022, he was the team's primary first base coach and worked with the Cardinals bench players during the game. The Cardinals were in the MEC playoff race the entire season and saw one of their best offensive seasons under Lewiciki's watch. The Cardinals were very good in the stolen base department with Lewicki's help as they successfully stole 70% of their bases (80-113).
His day-to-day duties include, coaching 1st Base, Hitting Fungo's, Throwing BP & has a big impact at the upgrades to the cardinal baseball field at I-470 complex. 
Roger played his collegiate baseball at nearby West Liberty University from 1980-1984. Upon graduating from West Liberty, he began working at Alleghany Steel in Washington, PA. 

He is also the father to current cardinal baseball coach, Ryan Lewicki.
