Ian Yunker enters his second season as a Graduate Assistant under Head Coach Ryan Lewicki for the 2025 season. Yunker works primarily with the team's infielders and bullpen insuring they are ready when called upon.
During the 2024 season, Yunker helped lead the team to the 2024 MEC Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history. Under his watch, three of the Cardinal's four starting infielders had a fielding percentage over .900, and Braden Killens earned Second Team All-MEC honors. In the bullpen, the Cardinals saw a strong performance from Sebastian Khan, who posted an ERA of 4.20 to lead the relievers throughout the season.
Prior to Wheeling, Yunker played his college baseball at Mars Hill University, where he served as a reliever. During the 2022 season, Yunker would make 11 appearances, spanning 13.2 innings of work, while striking out 15 and posting a 6.59 ERA.
