WHEELING, W.Va. – The No. 6 seeded Gannon University Golden Knights earned a spot in the 2015 NCAA Atlantic Region Volleyball Tournament finals after sweeping past West Chester University, 3-0, in the semi-finals Friday evening.
Gannon managed to take the opening three sets (25-20, 25-19, 25-21) and finished the contest hitting .237 as a team. Gannon out-blocked West Chester 11-3 in the contest.
The Golden Knights will face the winner of the semi-finals match between the Cardinals of Wheeling Jesuit University and the Clarion Golden Eagles. The match will be played at 7 pm on Saturday.
