Wheeling, W. Va. - On Monday, the Wheeling University athletic department announced Jaclyn Ketter as the seventh Head Coach of the Wheeling Women's Soccer program. She takes over for former Head Women's Soccer Coach Ryan Wall, who will remain on the staff as a Volunteer Assistant. Ketter is making a return to Wheeling, after serving as a Graduate Assistant with the Women's Soccer program during the 2015 and 2016 seasons and brings an extensive knowledge of the game both as a coach and as a player.

"I am very thankful and blessed to be named the head women's soccer coach at Wheeling University," said Ketter. "I look forward to working with the team and staff, and I am excited for the future of Wheeling Women's Soccer."

Prior to joining the Cardinals, Ketter served as the President of both the Belmont Soar FC and Belmont Academy, where she worked with several different age groups ranging from U4 to U13 players in the Ohio Valley. In 2025, she helped lead her Belmont Soar FC team to the 2025 Medina Invitational Soccer Tournament Championship, as well as a second place Finish at the Plum Kick-off Classic. At Belmont Academy, she helped teach the game to younger players, working with the U4, U6, and U8 Recreational Soccer programs. During her three years at the helm of these programs, Ketter put together a PA West D6 Record of 18-4-1 across 23 games, while instilling a love of the game into the next generation of soccer players across the Ohio Valley.

Ketter's coaching career began with the Cardinals back in 2015, when she served as a Graduate Assistant under former Head Women's Soccer Coach Tyler Absalom. Under her leadership, she helped former Cardinals Natalie Indermuhle and Meghan Horan earn All-MEC honors. She would then move to the high school game, serving as an assistant coach with the St. Clairsville High School Girl's Soccer program.

"We are excited to have Jaclyn Ketter leading our Women's Soccer program," said Wheeling University Athletic Director Carrie Hanna. "Coach Ketter brings a wealth of experience both within the game of soccer and her familiarity with Wheeling University's mission to educate for life, leadership, and service being a Cardinal alumna."

Ketter is still playing soccer pre-professionally, entering her second season with the Steel City FC of the United Soccer League (USL) Women's League. During their inaugural season, Ketter would help lead the Steel City FC to a 6-2-2 record in the USL and looks to continue her success on the field. She was a standout collegiate player for three seasons at Kent State University, where she helped lead the Golden Flashes to the MAC-East title in 2012 and was named the College Sports Madness MAC Offensive Player of the Year. Prior to Kent State, Ketter played one season of ACC soccer at Clemson University.

Ketter graduated from Kent State University in 2014 with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, concentrated in Health. She would then earn her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Wheeling University in 2017.
