Acrobatics & Tumbling Tri-Meet at Frostburg State Postponed Due to Weather

Wheeling, W. Va. – With snowfall set to come across the area on Sunday night, the Wheeling University Acrobatics & Tumbling team announced a change to the upcoming schedule. Late Saturday night, it was announced that Sunday's Frostburg State Tri-Meet has been postponed due to the expected snow. No make-up meet has been announced, but the event will be scheduled for a date to be announced.

The Cardinals are coming off a strong showing when they took on West Liberty on Monday in a 226.355-198.085 loss. Despite the loss on the scoreboard, the Cardinals continued to improve in their skills, adding 7.525 points to their score from the first meet. Along with the score increase, the team also was able to cross off a few firsts for the season, earning their first event win and their first four heat wins of the season. The first heat win would be the first box checked off, coming in the 7-Element Acro heat. Wheeling would defeat West Liberty 7.300-7.100, bringing their total score for the Acro event to 18.55. Their first event win would come in the Toss, where they put together three scores of 7.00 or better at the event. They ended up taking down the Hilltoppers 22.65-21.90 to earn the event victory and round out a strong day on the mat.
