WHEELING, W.V. - The Wheeling University Men's (8-2, 4-1) and Women's (6-4, 1-3) swimming programs are set to close out the regular season with a Tri-Meet and Senior Night matchup against Fairmont State University and Bethany College.

After a competitive road test at Fairmont State earlier last week, the Cardinals are eager to rebound and showcase their strength in front of the home crowd. Both teams will be honoring their seniors in what promises to be an exciting night. Wheeling seniors Gabby Baiano, Elbert Cooper, Alberto Kofinke, Jordan Krafft, Olivia Moyer, Caityn Oltman, and Quintin Tayali will be honored.

In their most recent swim against. Fairmont State earlier in the week the Women's Team battled hard, but fell to Fairmont State in a tightly contested dual meet. The Cardinals saw standout performances including multiple wins from Giulia Liberti in the breaststroke events and a strong effort from Gabby Baiano in the distance freestyle. The Men's Team reported wins in key races including the 100 Free and 500 Free, with strong contributions in relay events in their dominant win over Fairmont State.

The Matchups

Fairmont State University:
Fairmont's squads bring a mix of sprint and distance strength into Wheeling's pool. In their recent meet against Wheeling, Fairmont swimmers captured several top finishes, and the Falcons' relay units showed they can make big impacts on the scoresheet.

Bethany College:
The Bison have struggled against Wheeling's depth this season, with both Cardinals squads previously scoring over 100 points and holding Bethany under 10 in dual meet meetups. Wheeling looks to extend that trend in the Tri-Meet format as they swim both teams on Senior Night.
