"I am very excited to be hosting this golf scramble," said Wheeling University Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach Thadd Obecny. "We are excited for the opportunity to be able to help our student athletes both on and off the golf course and this scramble will help us achieve this. Please come out and support The teams and have a great day on the gold course."
 

The event will be held at Belmont Hills Country Club, where the Cardinals are playing host to their Wheeling Invitational. Each team will consist of a foursome, costing $500 per team. With registration, each team will receive one round of golf, lunch and drinks on the course, as well as prizes and contests throughout the day. After the 18 holes are done, guests are invited to a special dinner reception following the event, where prizes and awards will be handed out. Prizes will be given out for the top two teams at the event and, for an additional fee, there will be other contests that teams can participate in. There will be a 50/50 raffle on site as well $40 per team skins and $20 mulligans on the day of the event.
 

There are also several sponsorship opportunities for businesses in the local area to help support the event. There are two sponsorship levels available, with each getting their own benefits. The first is the gold sponsorship package for $1,000, where businesses receive one team scoreboard sponsor as well as cart signs throughout the event. The second level is the silver sponsor for $500, where businesses receive three-hole sponsorships as well as a scoreboard sponsorship. The final sponsorship opportunities for businesses are the single hole sponsor, which is $100 a piece.
