Wheeling, W. Va. – With the 2025-2026 Wheeling Athletics season right around the corner, the Athletic Department has announced season ticket packages for the upcoming Wheeling Football and Basketball seasons. Fans can purchase a single-sport season pass for either team for $250 or get a dual season ticket packages for $400. Fans who purchase these special ticket packages will get special perks so they can enjoy Cardinal athletics all season long.
"With our Athletic Department continually growing it was important for us to incentive our fans with these special season ticket packages," said Athletic Director Carrie Hanna. "Our fans are some of the best in the Mountain East Conference and through their support, our athletes can continue having the opportunities to grow not just on the field, but in the classroom as well."
The first package allows fans to purchase season tickets to the sport of their choosing at $250 per person. This package awards fans a season ticket to either the Wheeling University Football team or the Wheeling University Men's and Women's Basketball team. Fans who purchase this package will get admission to all home events for either Wheeling Football or Wheeling Basketball. Also with this package, season ticket holders are invited to a special pregame President's tailgate. It will be a chance for fans to get to know other season ticket holders throughout the pregame, while also getting a chance to sit down with University leadership. President's Tailgates will be held for every home football game throughout the season and will be held for every Saturday Basketball doubleheader.
For fans who want to experience both Football and Basketball for the entire season, they can sign-up for the Dual Season Ticket Plan Package for $400. This package offers fans a $100 savings over buying both sport's season ticket packages and adds the benefits of both seasons. Fans who purchase this ticket will get admission to all home Football games and Basketball doubleheaders as well as access to every President's Tailgate throughout the year. That's a savings of $50 over purchasing single-game tickets to every event and adds the benefits of access to the President's Tailgate. Catch the Cardinals in action all season long all while helping the Wheeling University Athletic Department continue to grow.
Fans can purchase tickets at the official ticketing partner of Wheeling Athletics, Hometown Ticketing. Fans who purchase tickets will receive a special lanyard that will give them access to whichever sport they chose, or both if they purchase the dual season ticket. There will be a special pick-up day for season ticket holders, that will include a meet and greet with Wheeling Football and Basketball players, coaches, and staff. Once you have your lanyard, you can show it at the ticketing gate for either sport and make your way up to the President's Tailgate. Tailgate events will begin an hour and a half before the start of the game and run through halftime. There will be refreshments at all tailgates, and fans can purchase additional items at the Concession stands.
