The junior was the second fastest runner of the two to compete for the Cardinals, finishing 142nd in the field with a time of 24:56.0. It was the junior's second crack at the Atlantic Regional Championships and ran her season best time on the course. She set her new season best by just over 45 seconds as she ran the Regional Championship for the second time in her career. Her first run at the event came during her freshman year, when she finished 116th overall and set what still stands as her career best 6K effort with a time of 24:52.2. She finished just four seconds off that mark in this race, and ended her cross country season with a bang as she continues preparing for the upcoming Indoor and Outdoor Track seasons.
 

The other finished for the Cardinals was sophomore Gabby Baiano, who finished 117th in the field with a time of 24:11.3. It was the second time that Baiano has run the event in her career and she beat her previous time by over a minute, but position wise dropped back 11 spots from where she was last season. This was the same course that Baiano set her new 6K best earlier this season and she ran another solid race to close out the 2023 season.
 

The Wheeling University Cross Country team now heads into their off-season as many of the runners prepare for the upcoming Indoor Track & Field season.
