Oberlin, OH. – Day three of the Oberlin College Invitational was cut short due to weather on Saturday, but the final session went off at 10 AM. The Men's Swimming team only had one competitor on day three, but he picked up a top 20 finish to end the day. As a team, the Cardinals placed 11th in the field as they wrapped up the 2022 portion of the schedule.
Sophomore Nathan Yost was the lone competitor of the day for the Cardinals, swimming in the 200 Yard Butterfly. He came in with a seed time of 2:20.79 and was looking to lower his seed time in the pool. Yost finished with his first top 20 mark of the event, placing 19th with a time of 2:12.95. he dropped his seed time by eight seconds and put together his best performance of the Oberlin College Invitational. He ended 2022 on a high note and looks to build off his succeeded as he moves into the 2023 portion of the Men's swimming schedule.
The Wheeling University Men's swimming team returns to the pool on Saturday, January 14th for a tri meet with Frostburg State and West Virginia Wesleyan.
