Morgantown, W. Va. – After swimming in three races on day one, sophomore
Nathan Yost returned to the pool for the Wheeling Men's Swimming team. The sophomore added two more races to his ledger on day two as he rounded out his first event of the 2022-23 season. He finished in the top 30 of both fields as he swam in two different 100-yard events on the day.
His night began in the third event of the day as he swam in the 100-yard Freestyle, his first 100 yard event of the meet. He would come through with his best finish of the day, placing 24th out of the field of 51 swimmers. He swam a 52.47 to kick off his night, equalling his highest finish of the tournament so far. His second event of the day came in the 100-Yard Butterfly as he looked to finish out his first tournament of the year strong. He would place 27th in the field of 39 swimmers with a time of 59.15. Yost was the only Male swimmer to hit the pool during the two day event, but he got some big experience against some of the top competition from around DI and DII.
The Wheeling University Men's Swimming team returns to action with their first home meet on Friday, October 21st, when they host Chatham.
