Freshman Kelsey Barron brought a second run home when she reached on a bases-loaded error, but the Pioneers limited the Cardinals to the 2-0 lead by cutting down a runner at the plate on the same play.

Wheeling Jesuit tacked on insurance runs in the fifth and sixth to make the score 4-0. Rogers delivered a sacrifice fly and a RBI-single by senior Jackie Cramer (Indian Head, Pa./Connellsville) extended the lead in the sixth.

The run support was more than enough for Unterbrink. She scattered four hits and retired the final seven batters in order to finish off the complete-game shutout win. Unterbrink (2-6) struck out three and only issued one walk in the game.
