HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Sophomore goalie James Serman (Auburndale, Fla. / Auburndale) came up big with a save near the end of the half allowing the Cardinals to enter the locker rooms with a 1-0 lead at halftime.
  • Davis & Elkins didn't let their halftime deficit keep them down for long when it jumped on the scoreboard in the 62nd-minute to tie the game at 1-1.
  • The Senators kept momentum in the match and scored again four minutes later to secure a 2-1 lead.
  • The Cardinals offense was kept quiet the rest of the game, only registering two more shots on goal and allowing the visiting Senators to pick up the win.

UP NEXT
  • The Cardinals will return to South Euclid Ohio to take on the Falcons of Notre Dame in a rescheduled matchup from the lightening delay that took place earlier in the season, on Monday November 4 for a kick-off at 2 p.m.
  • Wheeling led the Falcons 2-1 prior to the match being called. The game was not continued due to a lack of stadium lights at the Notre Dame facility.
