COLUMBUS, Ohio (Oct. 8) – The No. 20 Wheeling University volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 win at Ohio Dominican in a non-conference match Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cardinals opened the match with four of the first five points and closed the first set with four of the final six to take a 25-16 set win.
• Ohio Dominican played Wheeling to a 21-21 tie in the second set, but a kill and a trio of blocks allowed the Cardinals to come away with a 25-21 win and a 2-0 lead in the match.
• Wheeling trailed 16-12 in the third set, before rallying to tie the set at 21-21.
• The Cardinals closed out the set and match strong with four-straight points to earn the 25-21 win and a 3-0 sweep.

TEAM LEADERS

• Senior Haley Kramer (Norwalk, Ohio/Monroeville) led the team with 12 kills and six blocks. Kramer hit .545 for the match with zero errors on 22 attacks.
• Her twin-sister Breanna Kramer (Norwalk, Ohio/Monroeville) posted eight kills with three blocks and 20 digs.
• Senior setter Stephanie Sylvester (Oregon, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) dished out 32 assists in the win.
