WHEELING WEEK IN REVIEW: The Cardinals trailed 23-12 minutes into the second half, but Charleston scored on its final five possessions in a 51-12 win over Wheeling last Saturday. The Cardinals only yielded 207 yards passing after Charleston entered the game averaging a MEC-best 360 yards per game.

McKENDREE WEEK IN REVIEW: The Bearcats lost to Lindenwood 45-37 in a game that featured and 1,114 yards of total offense last Saturday. Wide receiver Matt Cole hauled in seven catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.

McKENDREE HEAD COACH: Head Coach Mike Babcock is in his seventh season leading the Bearcats. Babcock played linebacker on a pair of PAC 10 Championship teams at UCLA in 1997 and 1998 Pac-10 championship squads. He was a member of the 1999 Bruin team that played in the Rose Bowl.

HIT THE QUAUN: Wide receiver Jaquaun Davidson had seven catches for 123 yards and a pair of scores versus Charleston. Davidson has scored a touchdown in four of the team's five games and ranks second in the MEC and 11th in Division II with six touchdown receptions this year.

PROLIFIC PASSERS: Wheeling and McKendree feature quarterbacks who are both averaging over 230 yards passing per game this season. Cardinal quarterback Tucker Strachan ranks 23rd in Division II with 252.8 yards passing per game. Bearcat signal-caller Turner Pullen checks in at 33rd nationally with 230.0 per game.

LEADERBOARD WATCH: Despite being held well under their season averages, wide receiver Ryan LaFollette and corner back Rich White III still rank among the national leaders in receptions and tackles. LaFollette, who finished with five catches for 55 yards versus UC, ranks 10th in Division II with 7.0 receptions per game. White finished with just one tackle last week, but still ranks seventh in the nation with 6.6 solo tackles per game.

CONTRASTING TRADITIONS: McKendree's win two weeks ago versus Chowan was the 250th in program history. The Bearcats, who first took the gridiron in 1918, are 250-212-14 all-time. Wheeling, who is in its first-year as a varsity program, is searching for its first-ever win Saturday.

NO RUSH: Wheeling has struggled to run the ball this season and is averaging 49.0 yards per game, including only 59 yards last week. Running back Cam'Ron McClain got the bulk of the work with 44 yards on 10 carries, including a season-long 33-yard rush in the second half. McKendree enters the game allowing 216.0 rushing yards per game.

NEXT UP: The Cardinals hit the road to take on league-favorite and No. 5/No. 7 ranked Notre Dame (Ohio) on Saturday, October 19. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
