The Cardinals (25-7) rode back-to-back Monica Burns treys for an early 8-5 lead and maintained the advantage through the completion of the third quarter, 45-44. The Panthers (24-4) kept the momentum it built in the third frame into the fourth where they hit 8 of 16 shots and took the lead for good on an Alexis Johnson steal and layup, 52-50, with 5:49 left in the game.

"I am disappointed (with the result of the game), but not unhappy with our performance. I am so proud of our effort and this team."
