Cardinals Fall to Panthers in First Match of Spring Trip

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Wheeling Jesuit women's lacrosse team began its 2017 spring trip with a Wednesday evening contest at Florida Tech.
 
The hosting Panthers (3-1) would score 13 times in the first half and nine times in the second on their way to a 22-0 victory over WJU (1-2).
 
Elizabeth Hales shot twice, and Kori Hickman, Markie Wright, Mary Burns and Ally Coggins all fired one shot for WJU.
 
Holly Deckert and Taylor Quigg picked up two ground balls while Burns and Lyndsay Carpenter each grabbed one. Deckert caused two turnovers while Burns and Quigg caused one. Kate Calder and Deckert each won two draw controls.
 
The Cardinals complete their spring trip with a Friday night showdown with Rollins College. First draw is set for 7 p.m.
