FINDLAY, Ohio – Against its stiffest competition of the season, the Wheeling Jesuit wrestling team posted 10 individual placewinners led by freshman Dylan Taylor's first at Saturday's University of Findlay Open.

At 149, Taylor recorded a perfect 5-0 day for the Cardinals' lone first place finisher. Daniel Romero (141) and Greg Brusco (157) garnered second places and Maxwell Lacey (285) third.

"These guys put in some work today," noted WJU coach Sean Doyle. "We had 10 placers with three finalists, which made a strong day on the mat against strong competition."

Along with the four top three finishers, Skyler Terrell added a second 149-pound placer in fourth. Dustin Warner (125) went 3-0, before he bowed out in the Quarterfinals.

Brandon Tenney (141) lost only one time in six matches for fifth in 141. Nic Skonieczny (165) went 3-1 for fifth, before he defaulted. 

At 197, Terrance Fanning completed the WJU placewinners at sixth in a 4-2 afternoon.

WJU will be off until it hosts rival West Liberty in a dual match Thursday night, Dec. 1. First match scheduled for 8 p.m.
