WHEELING, W. Va. – For the second time in three days, Wheeling Jesuit took care of its men's lacrosse opponent in sound fashion. The Cardinals sent eight seniors out with a win in the 17-4 victory over Notre Dame de Namur Sunday afternoon.
The Cardinals netted the match's first eight goals over the opening 20:26. WJU (8-5) saw 12 different players score in the match.
Wheeling Jesuit honored its eight seniors –
Duston Doudelet,
Tyler Wickett,
Jared Baranowski,
Tyler Buchan,
Jared Sims,
Matt Bergman,
Jared Gillespie and
Corey Luebbe – before the action started.
Seniors Doudelet and Wickett paced the Cardinal attack. Doudelet scored three times and scooped up four ground balls, while Wickett fired three goals, assisted on another and had one ground ball. Buchan, Sims and Baranowski scored one goal apiece in their final match. Bergman had one ground ball. Luebbe and Gillespie helped the WJU defense hold its second opponent of the weekend to five goals or less. Luebbe forced five turnovers and grabbed four ground balls.
Bryce Brochu added two goals and three assists.

Wheeling Jesuit will complete its regular season next Saturday in a 2 p.m. match at Mercyhurst University.
