Box Score Glenville, W.Va. – Quietly, the Jesuit Men's Basketball team is on a 5-game win streak. Some looked at tonight's Wheeling Jesuit game against Glenville State, ranked third in the Mountain East Conference, as an indicator of how far the Cardinals have come this season. Eric Siefert, and
Kyle Ritz, Wheeling Jesuit went into the WACO Center and dropped the Pioneers, 89-71, improving their win streak to 6 games.
Moseh, a 6'5" 202 pound forward, posted his third 20 points plus game in his last five starts against Glenville State. Moseh had a double double, scoring 21 points, posting 11 rebounds, and adding seven assists.
Fritts had 18 points, six rebounds, and an assist. Siefert added 14 points, four rebounds, and five assists in 26 minutes of play. Rounding out the quartet was Ritz, who went 5 of 6 from the field, scoring 13 points, posting seven rebounds, and adding an assist and a steal.
Jesuit led the game wire to wire. WJU maintained a nine point advantage at the intermission, 39-30.
The Cardinals shot a blistering 50.7% from the field and 54.5% from beyond the arc. WJU also outworked the Pioneers on the boards, posting 49 rebounds to Glenville State's 29. Jesuit also outworked GSU in the paint, scoring 42 points to Glenville's 18.
The victory improves the Jesuit Men's Basketball overall record to 17-8 and 12-7 in the Mountain East Conference. The Cardinals return to action this Saturday, Feb. 21
st when they host West Virginia Wesleyan in another MEC matchup at 4pm in the McDonough Center.
