Box Score West Liberty, W.Va. – Five different Wheeling Jesuit Men's Basketball players posted double digit scoring efforts to propel Wheeling Jesuit to a 102-80 victory over crosstown rival and #5 ranked West Liberty.
Junior guard
Justin Fritts played his best when the Cardinals needed it most. Fritts turned in his finest performance of the season connecting on 8 of 12 field goal attempts, hitting 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, and adding four rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 32 minutes of play.

Eric Siefert followed up with 18 points, seven assists, and 18 points.
Freshman forward Patrick Moseh went 3 of 5 from the field including two three-pointers and 7 of 8 foul shots. Moseh also added four rebounds and four steals to his season totals.

Haywood Highsmith hit 5 of 7 field goal attempts, connected on 3 of 4 from the foul line, and hit the board for eight rebounds before finishing with 13 points in the victory.
Finally, junior forward
Tim Goff went 4 of 5 from the field and 2 of 3 from three-point range to finish with 11 points in 14 minutes of play.
The true story of this game was shooting percentage. Wheeling Jesuit shot 58.6% from the field and 50% from three-point range in the first half. West Liberty shot only 42.9% from the field and 14.3% from beyond the arc.
Jesuit took a 49-28 lead into the half and never looked back. In fact, the Cardinals shot better in the second half in both categories than they did in the first half. WJU hit 60.9% of its shots from the field in the second half and 66.7% from three-point range.
Jesuit played tenacious defense holding the nation's leading scorer, WLU's Seger Bonifant, to just 10 points. Bonifant came into the game tonight averaging 28.1 points per game.
The win moves Wheeling Jesuit's overall record to 8-7 and 4-6 in the Mountain East Conference.
Jesuit Men's Basketball returns to action this Saturday January 24th when it hosts the Falcons of Notre Dame College for a 6pm tipoff in the McDonough Center.
