Box Score South Euclid, Ohio – Jesuit Men's Basketball traveled to South Euclid, OH on Saturday for a 4pm game against Notre Dame College. Jesuit lost to the Falcons 79-64.
Junior guard
Eric Siefert led the Cardinals. Siefert had 21 points, five assists, and four steals in 36 minutes of play.
The only other Cardinal to break double digits in the game was junior guard
Justin Fritts. Fritts came off the bench to score 15 points and added two steals.
Wheeling Jesuit committed 20 turnovers in the game and Notre Dame converted those 20 mistakes into 19 points. Notre Dame College's Lawrence DeArmond had a double-double, scoring 31 points and adding 11 rebounds. NDC's Tyree Gaiter added another 29 points with five assists and five steals in the win.
Jesuit held a 34-26 scoring advantage in points in the paint. Likewise, the Cardinals had an 18-2 point advantage off the bench. But, Notre Dame outshot WJU from the field 43.3% to 39.7%, three-point range 42.9% to 25%, and the foul line 85.7% to 57.1%.
The loss drops WJU Men's Basketball's overall record to 4-2 and 1-2 in Mountain East Conference play.
