Box Score Wheeling, W. Va. – The Wheeling Jesuit Lady Cardinals (3-2) hosted the LeMoyne College Dolphins (6-3) in a Jesuit non-conference matchup Tuesday night in the McDonough Center.
The first half started with Wheeling Jesuit giving up a 3 pointer and a turnover then a drive to the lane that resulted in a 2 point bucket and a foul to go down immediately by 6 points.
The Cardinals would go ahead 12-9 as
Jaana Motton drove the lane for an easy layup. But at 10:29, LeMoyne College regained the lead 13-12, and they never trailed the rest of the half. The Dolphins would go on an 8 point run at the end of the half to go into the locker room up by 12 points, 29-17.
Jesuit shot only 31.8 % from the field in the first half and committed 11 turnovers. LeMoyne College converted 9 points off the 11 mistakes.
Emily Robinson and
Kylie Frizell each had 5 points in the first half for the Cardinals.
LeMoyne College was led by guard Vandale Andrade, who hit 4 of 8 shots from the field and 2 of 3 free throws for 10 total points, accounting for over a third of the Dolphins' points in the half.
Jesuit pulled to within five points in the second half with roughly 9 minutes left to play. Then a 5 foot jumper by LeMoyne's Alex Marple and an inbound layup and foul shot to follow put the Dolphins back up by 10, to lead 48-38.
LeMoyne stretched the lead to 12 points down the stretch before eventually downing the Cardinals by nine points, 58-49. LeMoyne finished the game with three players in double digits. Marple finished with 17 total points. Andrade finished with 11 points and forward Emily Greer finished with 10.

Emily Robinson led the Cardinals with 13 total points. Freshman guard
Mariah Callen added 11 points, all coming in the second half of the game.
The loss drops the Cardinals' record to 3-3 overall. Wheeling Jesuit Women's Basketball returns to action this Saturday, December 20
th when they host Ohio Valley at 2pm in another non-conference matchup before the Christmas break.
