Jesuit Men’s and Women’s Swimming Splits with Malone

The Jesuit Women's Swimming team swam to a convincing victory over Malone University 160 to 110 and the men lost 176 to 96.  Double winners for the Cardinals were Danielle Pekular, 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke, leading a 1-2 punch with Maria Palmquist coming in second. Anna Davis won both the 50 and the 100 freestyle. And Jakub Swierczynski won his specialties in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.  Other Cardinal winners were Vanessa Gipson in the 1000 free, Rachel Yontz and Sloane Glover went 1-2 respectively in the 200 fly, and Alexis Anderson led another 1-2 in the 200 free with Kristin Beyerl finishing a half a stroke behind. Jakub Skrzypczak added a victory in the 200 backstroke and the women's free relay of Pekular, Davis, Jade Worrels and Stef Boburka swam to the final victory.
 
The Cardinals resume competition this Saturday, November 8th at 1pm, as they travel to Buckhannon, W.Va. to take on West Virginia Wesleyan.
