Cards Fall to No. 5 Bellarmine

Box Score Louisville, Ky.---The Wheeling Jesuit men's basketball team (2-3) fell 92-67 on the road against the No. 5 nationally ranked Knights of Bellarmine University (6-0) on Saturday afternoon.
 
Jesuit started the game hot, draining four of their first five three point shots to keep pace with the Knights on their home floor. However, the Cardinals cooled down midway through the half, and Bellarmine capitalized. The Knights outscored the Cardinals 19-7 in the final 10-minutes of the first half for a 41-29 halftime advantage. After the break, Wheeling Jesuit never recovered from the Knight's first-half run.
 
Justin Fritts led the Cardinals with a team-high 18 points and eight rebounds, while Ben Siefert followed with 12 points. Tim Goff added nine points, Recardo Gaddy had eight, and Eric Siefert registered seven. Rounding out the scoring were Joe Prati (5), Darin Harris (4) and Steve Bridgeman (4).
 
Bellarmine was led by Keisten Jones' 20-point performance. Ryan Burton and Vance Hall followed with 18 and 16, respectively.
 
Wheeling Jesuit will travel to Johnstown, Pa. on Dec. 15 for a WVIAC contest with the University of Pitt-Johnstown. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
