Box Score CANTON, Ohio---The Wheeling Jesuit men's soccer team earned a 3-0 road victory Wednesday evening against Malone University.

Ignacio Fernandez fueled the offense while goalkeeper
Cody Thompson earned the shutout win.
Robson started the scoring in the 5
th minute when he bent a corner kick into the back of the net. Six minutes later, Roan lifted the Cardinals to a 2-0 advantage when he blasted a shot from inside the box into the side of the frame.
Nicolay Netskar provided the assist.
In the 19
th minute,
Carlos Avila earned an assist on the Cardinals' final goal. Avila sent a cross into the box for Fernandez, who finished, collecting his third goal of the season and giving Jesuit a 3-0 advantage.
The Cardinals held a slight 12-11 advantage in shots, however, Malone controlled a 9-4 advantage from the corner.
Thompson registered three saves in the shutout win.
The Cardinals will be back in action in Buckhannon, W.Va. on Saturday, Oct. 6 against WVIAC opponent Alderson-Broaddus College at 2 p.m.
