Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.---The No. 19 ranked Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team traveled to Shepherdstown, W.Va. for a WVIAC showdown with Shepherd University. The Rams pushed the Cardinals to the limit, but WJU survived with a 3-2 victory. Jesuit won by scores of 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 23-25 and 15-11. With the win Jesuit moves to 12-0 in WVIAC play and 26-2 overall, while the Rams fell to 2-7 in the league and 6-16 overall.
Jenna Pew led the Cardinals with a triple-double with 17 assists, 14 kills and 14 digs.
Allissa Ware followed with 13 kills and
Rachel Caja added 10.
Madison Strall tossed a team-best 25 assists, and
Makenzie Ripley had 23 digs.
Wheeling Jesuit will be back in action on Saturday, October 27, traveling to PSAC-rival Clarion University. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
