Box Score WHELING, W.Va.---The No. 19 ranked Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team played host to Davis & Elkins College for Senior Day on Saturday's WJU Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. The Cardinals improved to 11-0 in WVIAC after defeating the Senators in three sets by scores of 25-11, 25-20 and 25-20.
Before the match, the Cardinals recognized five seniors for their contributions to the program's success.

Ashley Remlinger,
Angela McNulty and
Maria Meyer were all escorted on the court by their parents.
Wheeling Jesuit flew out to an enormous lead in the first half with a 14-0 run after establishing a 5-2 start. McNulty sparked the rally with a pair of block assists and a kill. A D&E error and a
Mikayla Zernic service ace supported the Cardinal lead, and McNulty threw down two more kills. Ware followed with three consecutive kills, and the two Cardinals each added one additional kill for a 21-5 advantage. Remlinger floored Jesuit's 23
rd point and Gambow delivered the final blow.
The Cardinals fell behind 4-0 in the second stanza, but it wasn't long before they found their groove. Jesuit quickly closed the gap with the help of two D7E hitting errors followed by a kill by
Jenna Pew. Pew grounded two more kills and Ware followed suit, lifting WJU to a 12-8 advantage. The two teams traded the next eight points, and Remlinger increased the spread to five points, 17-12, where the match finished 25-20.
The final set played the same as Wheeling Jesuit held marginal leads throughout, eventually winning 25-20.
Ware led the Cardinals with 14 kills, while McNulty and Pew followed with seven apiece. Gambow tallied three kills, and Remlinger recorded two kills with three blocks. Pew added a team-best four blocks while McNulty chipped in three.
The Cardinals will be back in action Tuesday, October 23 on the road against Findlay University. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
