Box Score PHILIPPI, W.Va.---The No. 17 ranked Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team earned its 77
th consecutive win against WVIAC opponents on Saturday afternoon in Philippi, W.Va. against Alderson-Broaddus College. The Cardinals downed the Battlers 3-0 by scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 25-22. With the win, WJU improved to 21-2 overall and 9-0 in league play, while AB fell to 10-13 and 5-1 in the WVIAC.
Jenna Pew led the Cardinals with a triple-double, consisting of 14 assists, 12 kills and 10 digs while adding three blocks.
Allissa Ware followed with a 10 kills and five digs, while
Abby Wietrzykowski had eight kills and two digs.
Ashley Remlinger added a three kill, two block performance, while
Rachel Caja chipped in five kills and one block.
Madison Strall kept the offense in motion with 22 assists and
Makenzie Ripley anchored the defense with 14 digs.
The No. 17 ranked Cardinals will be back in action at home on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 16-17. Wheeling Jesuit will play host to Atlantic Region rival Shippensburg University on Tuesday followed by Wednesday's WVIAC battle with Fairmont State University. Both matches are scheduled for 7 p.m.
