Cards rally past Ohio Dominican in five

The Wheeling Jesuit University women's volleyball team (11-5) picked up their eleventh win of the season against Ohio Dominican University (9-8) on Thursday night. The match went the distance as the Cardinals won 3-2 by scores of 29-27, 23-25, 22-25, 25-14, and 15-9.

Freshman Lindsay Gaughan dished out 41 assists and helped five different Cards reach double digits in kills on the evening.

Leading the way, was freshman Allissa Ware with a career high 18 kills. Ware also added 20 digs.

Junior Keysha Allison recorded her third triple double on the year with 17 kills, 34 assists, and 19 digs.

Senior Catie Halberstadt tallied 14 kills and 27 digs while senior Missy Gossett and junior Emily Borchers accounted for 20 kills, each with 10.

Junior libero Laura O'Reilly anchored the defense with a team high 30 digs and Gosset managed 2.5 of the team's 10 blocks.

The Cards will travel to Glenville, W.Va. on Saturday, September 26th for two matches.  First, they will face conference foe Glenville State College at 1:00 p.m. and play again at 3:00 p.m. against Johnson C. Smith College.
