BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Wheeling Jesuit forward Taylor Lubinsky was named Mountain East Conference Player of the Week after leading the Cardinals to wins over the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the MEC last week.
Lubinsky, a sophomore from Irwin, Pa., led a balanced WJU attack averaging 14 points and and 6.5 rebounds in wins over Urbana and West Virginia State. Against the Blue Knights, she contributed 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting and seven rebounds. She followed that up with 13 points and team-high six rebounds as the Cardinals downed the Yellow Jackets.

Bri Kamarec (West Liberty) averaged 16 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists, and scored a career-high 19 points in a win over Notre Dame ... Kenyona Simmons (Glenville State) averaged 19.5 points and six rebounds in a pair of Pioneer victories ... Andrea Bertrand (Concord) posted a line of 23.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals on the week ... Hailey Garrett (Fairmont State) contributed an average of 17 points and seven rebounds ... DeVonyea Johnson (Urbana) averaged 19.5 points, five rebounds, 3.5 steals and three assists for the Blue Knights.
