LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce the 33rd annual AVCA All-America teams for NCAA Division II women's volleyball.

Wheeling Jesuit's Jenna Pew has been named as a third-team All-American, and is just the second player in school history to be named an AVCA All-American, the ohter being Keysha Allison in 2010.

"Jenna is a rare combination of size, skill, and power," said Head Coach Christy Benner. "She has the ability to play several positions, and play them well. She is also an outstanding student athelete and an outstanding person. She couldn't be more deserving of this award."

Exactly 29 of the athletes honored on the AVCA All-America teams in 2013 are first-time recipients of the award. Headlining this year's selections are a pair of Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears.  Teammates Kayla Koenecke and Amanda Konetchy each are the only four-time AVCA All-Americans being honored in 2013.

The 2013 All-America selections were made by the AVCA Division II All-America Committee: Shelton Collier, Wingate University, chairperson; Mario Andaya, Central Washington University; Laurie Lokash, Slippery Rock University; Gail Wasmus. NY Institute of Technology;  Wick Colchagoff, Findlay University; Steve Wilcosky, Nova Southeastern; Will Condon, Armstrong Atlantic State University; Dave Fleming, Colorado Mesa University, Flip Piontek, University of Central Missouri.

Pew led the conference in hitting percentage with .358 and was fourth in the league in kills per set with 2.94. Pew led the Cardinals with 41 service aces on the year and also provided 419 assists on the year (3.46 per set). She also recorded 178 digs and 98 total blocks on the year for WJU. This is her first AVCA All-America award.
