ASC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

Jakub Skrzypczak  has been selected as the Swimmer of the Week for the Appalachian Swimming Conference. Skrzypczak won two events and took second in a third in leading the Cardinals to a second place finish at the Fredonia Invitational.

The sophomore took first in the 200 IM in WJU School Record and NCAA Division II “B” cut time of 1:51.51. He set another school record and achieved another “B” cut in the 200 Backstroke with at time of 1:48.89. He finished second in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 50.91.

On the Relays, he led-off the winning 400 Medley Relay (3:30.10) with a school record and “B” cut of 50.41 for the 100 Backstroke. He led-off the winning 200 Medley Relay (1:36.39) in 24.52. Lastly, he anchored the second place 400 Freestyle Relay (3:13.47) in 46.80. Skrzypczak currently ranks second in the 100 Backstroke, first in the 200 Backstroke, first in the 200 IM, and fifth in the 400 IM in the Appalachian Swimming Conference.

This is Skrzypczak's third ASC player of the week award this season.
