Jessie Tufnell has been selected as Wheeling Jesuit’s Female Athlete of the Week for her performances on the women’s lacrosse team.
 
Tufnell, a freshman from Flower Mound, Texas, led the Cardinals to a 15-6 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday, March 10 with seven points, five goals and two assists. The rookie attackman found the back of the net 17 times in six games while dishing out seven assists for a team-high 24 points. In addition, Tufnell secured 11 ground balls and six draw controls so far this season.
