Joe Amsler earned Wheeling Jesuit Men’s Athlete of the Week award for his performance between the pipes against the Storm of Lake Erie College on Friday, April 25.
 
Amsler, a goalie on the men’s lacrosse team, received his first career win in his first collegiate start last week. The sophomore from Rocky Point, N.Y., collected 12 saves in the Cardinals 12-7 triumph over Lake Erie College. The win marked Wheeling Jesuit’s first in East Coast Conference play.
 
In addition, Amsler was recognized on the ECC Honor Roll.
