Wright forced two turnovers in the football team's game versus Frostburg State. He had an interception at the goal line that halted Frostburg State's first drive of the game. Wright later forced a fumble on a botched double-reverse flea-flicker attempt to setup the offense deep in Bobcat territory. He also added seven tackles, 1.5 for loss, a solo sack and a pass break-up in the game.
