Sara Fitzsimon, a women’s lacrosse sophomore midfielder from Sacramento, Calif., earned Wheeling Jesuit’s Women’s Athlete of the Week award for leading the women’s lacrosse team to their second victory in school history, 10-9, over Urbana University on Sunday, March 25.
 
Fitzsimon led the Cardinals offensive and defensively throughout the sixty minute contest. She completed a hat trick, scoring three goals, and secured 11 draw controls, caused five turnovers and picked-up four ground balls.
