WHEELING, W.Va.  – Tomas Caixeta of the men’s swim team has been selected as the WJU Male Athlete of the Week!
 
Caixeta, a native of Brazil, led the Cardinals with three victories on the day. Caixeta first took home the top spot in the 50 free (22.03) before winning the 100 free (48.34) and the 100 fly (52.87). WJU finished the meet with a point total of 117, falling short of Grove City College’s 155 points.
 
Caixeta and the WJU swim team return to action on Saturday, November 12 when they travel to Buckhannon, West Virginia to race West Virginia Wesleyan.
