WHEELING, W.Va. – After earning her fifth and sixth victories of the season over the past week, Erin Unterbrink of the softball team is this week’s WJU Female Athlete of the Week!

Unterbrink first tossed four innings in WJU’s 9-1 victory against West Liberty last Tuesday before throwing four more innings on Friday in the Cardinals 1-0 win against Glenville State. Over her eight innings of work, Unterbrink did not allow a single run to cross the plate. She struck out two hitters and gave up just five hits.

On the season, Unterbrink has pitched 60.2 innings and allowed just 24 earned runs. She holds a 6-3 record with one save, and currently has an ERA of 2.77.
