WHEELING, W.Va. – After breaking the Wheeling Jesuit University women's 5K record, Kelsey Chambers of the track and field team has been named the WJU Female Athlete of the Week.

Chambers set the new WJU mark at 17:35.13 during the Wake Forest open held this past weekend. Chambers finished third overall, falling just behind Appalachian University’s Samantha Campanaro who finished in first with a time of 17:32.54.

Chambers and the WJU track and field teams head back to North Carolina for Friday and Saturday’s, March 25 and 26, Raleigh Relays.
